The world's most locked-down city is set to re-open five days early, thanks to Victorians racing to get vaccinated.


  • Melbourne's lockdown is to end on Friday when Victoria is expected to reach its 70 per cent double dose vaccination target.
  • parents and children across New South Wales are preparing for a return to classrooms as schools re-open on Monday. 
  • The federal government has confirmed New South Wales will no longer be considered a Commonwealth COVID hotspot by midnight on Sunday
