Sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in Victoria blamed on illegal grand final

Victorian authorities have suggested illegal gatherings over the AFL grand final long weekend may have contributed to Thursday's steep jump in COVID-19 cases up to 1438, mark another daily record for the state.
