Victoria to impose short-stay accommodation tax from 2025: SBS Sinhala Explainer on 21 Sep

Victoria has become the first state in the country to enforce a levy on short-term rental properties found on platforms like Airbnb. Premier Daniel Andrews says the 7.5 percent levy will help address the state's housing crisis. He also announced the state is committed to building 800,000 homes over the next decade.
