Australia's economy shrunk by 0.3 per cent as summer bushfires ravaged the nation followed by the coronavirus pandemic, locking in a recession. The news comes as passengers returning from overseas may soon have to foot their own hotel quarantine bill with state governments expected to stop paying for mandatory isolation.
