Many call him the peace maker because he builds on strong Christian principles, with emphasis on the present day. He talks about technology, climate change, migration issues - he reminds us of charity, humanity, and he not only uses the church rhetoric, but he speaks the words of a simple person. During his 3.5-day visit to Slovakia, he met with the poor, he visited minorities, also Jewish and Greek-Catholic communities, and during the solemn Holy Mass in Šaštín, the prayers were read in foreign languages - in English, German, and Romani.
Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said that his presence in Slovakia was a blessing for our country and that we should maintain this unity for as long as possible.
