Irma Sztáray, Slovak countess, the last Lady-in-waiting of the Austro-Hungarian Empress Elisabeth

The story of Irma Sztáray de Stará és NagyMihály (born in manor Stará near Sobrance and Michalovce, now Slovakia), who was the last Lady-in-waiting of the Austro-Hungarian Empress Elisabeth, called Sissi. From 1894 to 1898 she accompanied Sissi everywhere and was also the only person nearby when the Empress was assassinated near Geneva Lake by Italian anarchist. The aristocrat family of Sztáray helped to build Eastern Slovakia region of Zemplin.
