NYE fireworks will open "year of welcome"

Sydney will celebrate New Year's Eve this month with another fireworks spectacular, despite the unprecedented bush fires burning across New South Wales. Organisers say no other event in Australia brings more people together and have declared 2020 the "year of welcome" with a special message for refugees.
