Matej Beňuš is a 28yo Slovak slalom canoeist and a good bloke. He won a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Rio this year and he is more than ready to continue in the footsteps of the Sydney 2000 star Michal Martikan (he actually starred at 5 olympics from Atlanta to Sydney, Athens, Beiging and London).

Matej was aware of Slovakia's expectations. Media's comparisons with Martikan didn't put him off, but rather inspired him.

Zuzana Kovacicova spoke with him about Rio, discipline, family and fatherhood.
