“We are a happy nation because we’ve managed to bring up at least 2 generations in peace”

...says Mária Sliacka, Executive Director of the Slovak Foundation for UNICEF. At the same time, however, she adds that freedom is fragile and we shouldn’t take it for granted. When we look back at November ’89 events in Czechoslovakia, we must remember those who are still losing their fight for freedom. Zuzana Kovačičová spoke with Ms Sliacka on the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution (17 November 1989)
