Anica Markič, active within Melbourne's Slovenian community from the very start

Anica Markič, an active member of Melbourne's Slovenian Community celebrated her 70th birthday on April 17th. She is very active within the community, particularly as a member of the Slovenian Association Melbourne (where she was president for 12 months) and at the Saints Cyril and Methodius Slovenian Mission in Kew. Anica was also active within the movement for Slovenian independence in Australia as a member of the Slovenian National Council of Victoria. She's a very proud Slovenian who hopes that the Slovenian community will come together to celebrate this year's 25th anniversary of Slovenian independence.
