In memoriam Franc Fekonja (10.10.1938-8.7.2019)

Franc Fekonja passed away on 8 July, aged 80. He was very well known and respected within Melbourne's Slovenian community. He was actively involved at the Slovenian Assocation Melbourne and at the Slovenian Mission in Kew. His funeral was held at the Saints Cyril and Methodius Slovenian Church in Kew on 17 July. Franc was laid to rest at the Keilor Cemetery which is the final resting place for many Slovenian migrants in Victoria. Stan Prosenak was very good friends with the late Franc Fekonja. He pays tribute to Franc, who was very respected within the Slovenian community, a proud family man and a proud Australian Slovenian. May he rest in God's peace.
