In the end Chief Justice Maraga read the court's decision on behalf of the judging panel, outlining the panel reached a majority decision of 4 to 2 according to reports widely reported in Kenyan media outlets.

Despite not reading out the full decision for the courts finding, nonetheless Chief Justice Maraga ordered the first respondent in the case (IEBC) to hold a rerun of the Presidential election, as the judging panel found the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta was not validly elected.
