At least four people are believed to be dead and a suspected gunman has been arrested following a shooting in Darwin.
The incident started with reports of a man firing a sawn-off pump action shotgun at about 5.50pm on Tuesday night.
The shooting unfolded in the suburb of Woolner, and the offender was described as armed and dangerous.
He was on the loose for about an hour.
A 45-year-old Caucasian male was arrested, police confirmed.
While originally one person was believed to have died, police now say four people are dead.
Not a terrorist act
From the UK, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said "our advice is that this is not a terrorist act".
