Burundi's Senior Advisor to the President survives Assassination attempt

Reports have been confirmed that Senior Advisor to President Pierre Nkurunziza, of Burundi who is also in charge of Media, Information & Communication Willy Nyamitwe, has survived an assassination attempt on his life in which some members of his security detail were killed.

Mr Nyamitwe has confirmed via Twitter that he is well and he is receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.
