In D R Congo poverty has forced children aged under 18 years of age to take up jobs in mines to support themselves and their families. This has led to a stand off between groups campaigning for childrens rights and authorities who have been accused for not taking sufficient actions on this matter especially in North and South Kivu.
Our correspondent Byobe Malenga visited the town of Kamituga, where some of the children who work in the local mine shared their experiences with him.
