Rumours had been circulating for several months and there was growing fears that the planned presidential elections in DR Congo would not be held as planned in November 2016. .
The rumors were confirmed after a meeting between civil, religious and political leaders with President Joseph Kabila.
The Meeting concluded with an agreement to give the country's electoral commission more time to prepare the election in April 2018.
