The federal leadership spill has tested the resolve of the Australian public, with many saying they have had enough of squabbling ministers putting leadership ahead of the country.
Whilst a core group of Liberal MP's and Senators were agitating for a change of leadership, others among them were swept up in the drama which ensued.
South Australian Liberal Party Senator Lucy Gichuhi, had a front row seat as the left and right factions of the party tore into each other.
