It's been almost a decade since Australia introduced its paid parental leave scheme, labelled a 'landmark' social reform at the time.


But researchers say ten years on, it's time for a rethink of the policy to legislate a more generous leave scheme for fathers.

It's estimated just two per cent of fathers currently take paid government leave as the main caregiver in Australia.
