Leaders from one of Australia’s most multicultural areas say their community could be held up as a model for social cohesion.


Blacktown, in Western Sydney, has a very diverse population and is home to the country’s largest Sudanese population.

It has grappled with high rates of antisocial behavior in the past but youth crime is now on a steady decline.
