Dr Maggy Sikulu-Lord is a medical entomologist at QAAFI, center for Animal science at the University of Queensland.

Dr Sikulu-Lord's research focuses on characterising mosquitoes, of medical importance specifically on those that transmit malaria, dengue, Zika and yellow fever. She spoke exclusively to SBS Swahili about her research.
