Mass shooting in Texas 'largest ever' in the state: governor

At least 26 people have died after a lone gunman opened fire on churchgoers in southeast Texas.

The shooting took place at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, 65 kilometres east of San Antonio, during its 11am Sunday service.

The governor of Texas says it's the largest mass shooting in Texan history.
