Many parts of East Africa have been severely impacted by drought which has forced locals and their livestock to relocate.
Researchers in at various East African universities in partnership with their counterparts in Australian universties have been working around the clock to find durable solutions to this crisis.
SBS Swahili spoke with Dr Richard Koech from Central Queensland University, about his research on the topic and some of the findings which could potentially be implimented in the affected parts of the region.
