The death of Reginald Abraham Mengi, shocked many Tanzanians including those who live in Australia.
Despite his humble beginnings from a poor family, Reginald Mengi went on to become one of Tanzania's and Africa's richest businessmen earning himself a place of Forbes rich list.
Dr Joseph Masika hails from the same region as the late Mengi and has known him for over 40 years. He spoke with SBS Swahili about Reginald Mengi's contribution to Tanzania and his role in creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for any young Tanzanian who sought his assistance.
