World leaders have paid tribute to former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan who has died at the age of 80.

Mr Annan has been remembered as a "moral voice of the world".

Mr Annan spent decades championing efforts to try to end protracted conflicts in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
