Popular Congolese gospel artist Yabin Shabani from Bukavu, South Kivu has began speaking out against this issue through his songs.
Mr Yabin, has called the issue of presidents pushing for third terms as a sin against God. However many people in the region have stated that artists and preachers should steer away from politics.
