எதிர்வரும் ஜுலை 1ம் திகதி முதல் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவுக்கான மாணவர் விசாவில் முக்கிய மாற்றங்கள் செய்யப்படுகின்றன.
ஜுலை 1ம் திகதி முதல் மாணவர் விசாவுக்கு விண்ணப்பிப்பவர்கள் Subclass 500 என்ற பிரிவின் கீழ் மட்டுமே விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.
எத்தகைய கல்விநெறியை நீங்கள் மேற்கொள்ளவிருந்தாலும் Subclass 500 இன் கீழ் மட்டுமே விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.
அத்துடன் அனைத்து மாணவர் விசா விண்ணப்பங்களும் (online)இணையத்தினூடாகவே தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும்.
இதேவேளை ஏற்கனவே subclasses 570-576 ஆகிய பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் விசா பெற்றுள்ளவர்களை இம்மாற்றங்கள் பாதிக்காது.
ஆனால் குறிப்பிட்ட மாணவரின் குடும்பத்தினரோ உறவினர்களோ இங்கு வரவேண்டுமெனில் அவர்கள் Subclass 500 விசா விண்ணப்பத்தைத் தாக்கல் செய்ய வேண்டும்.

From 1 July 2016, there will be only one student visa available to study in Australia – the Student visa (subclass 500).
After 1 July 2016, if you want to study in Australia, you will need to apply for the Student visa (subclass 500) regardless of your field of study.

Current visa holders
If you hold a student visa with subclass numbers 570 to 576, your visa will remain valid and your visa conditions will not change after 1 July 2016.
After 1 July 2016, family members of Student visa holders (subclasses 570-576) will need to apply for a subclass 500 visa if they want to join a family member in Australia.
