நாடு முழுவதும் அரச சேவைகள் பாதிப்பு!

நாட்டின் Centrelink, Medicare, வரித் திணைக்களம், Bureau of Meteorology, Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet ,Bureau of Statistics உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு துறைகளில் பணிபுரியும் அரச ஊழியர்கள் இன்று பணிப்புறக்கணிப்புப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர்.

தமக்கான கொடுப்பனவு விவகாரத்தில் பல ஆண்டுகளாகியும் எவ்வித முடிவுகளும் எட்டப்படாததையடுத்து தாம் இந்த பணிப்புறக்கணிப்பில் ஈடுபடுவதாக அவர்கள் அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.

இதேவேளை குடிவரவு மற்றும் Border Protection ஊழியர்களும் நாளை செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை முதல் இப்பணிப்புறக்கணிப்புப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபடவுள்ளதால் விமானநிலையங்களில் பாரிய நெருக்கடி ஏற்படும் என தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.

எனவே ஈஸ்டர் விடுறைக் காலங்களில் பயணம் செய்யவிருப்பவர்கள் முன்கூட்டியே உங்கள் விமான சேவை வழங்குனர்களைத் தொடர்பு கொள்வதுடன் நேரத்துடனேயே விமான நிலையங்களுக்குச் செல்லுமாறு அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Easter travel plans could be disrupted by strike action by Department of Immigration and Border Protection workers at international airports.

The Community and Public Sector Union says thousands of public servants at Medicare, Centrelink, the Tax Office, Defence, the Bureau of Meteorology, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Bureau of Statistics will strike for 24 hours on Monday.

And Immigration and Border Protection officers will begin stoppages at international airports from Tuesday, with a 24-hour strike planned for Thursday.

The campaign is part of a long-running industrial dispute with the federal government over work conditions.

CPSU national secretary Nadine Flood says Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has ignored the union's offer of talks to discuss the issue and that industrial action could continue at airports for several weeks.

Airline passengers are urged to contact their carrier for information and to allow extra time for international departures and arrivals.
