The Federal Government says it's doing all it can to open the crossing at the border with Egypt and ensure the safe passage of civilians, with more than 70 Australians and immediate family members still trapped in Gaza.
Meanwhile, in Lebanon, with tensions threatening to escalate between Israel and Hezbollah, some 15,000 Australians are being urged to consider leaving.
