Outdated Interpol system blamed for Hakeem Al-Araibi's refugee status 'slipping through the gap'

NEWS: The head of the Australian Federal Police and the Home Affairs Assistant Minister have been questioned on the circumstances leading to the wrongful detention of refugee footballer Hakeem Al-Araibi.

Home Affairs Assistant Minister Linda Reynolds has blamed the "cumbersome and manual" system for issuing Interpol red notices for the delay in moving to have a notice withdrawn for refugee footballer Hakeem Al-Araibi.
