General Paween Pongsirin, a former chief investigator for Rohingya human trafficking cases, reveals to SBS Thai, what drove him to do his utmost to prosecute human trafficking syndicates in Thailand. He also tells us about constant intimidation during his investigations and says that he is seeking asylum in Australia for fears of retaliation from influential figures, who are implicated in the illicit trade.
