Poverty is not the end, but motivation

Nantana Taptamat, Endeavor Scholarship recipient for a doctorate degree in Science from Thailand, spoke about how growing up in poverty had motivated her to study hard at school. She learned English from listening to Voice of America radio while working in rice paddies to help her parents make a living. In the end, she achieved her goal of winning scholarships to study Science at some universities in USA and Australia.
