Settlement Guide: Higher-education loans available for Australians

There are five types of higher-education loans available for all Australian students, most importantly the HECS-HELP scheme. However, almost all permanent residents will miss out, except those with certain humanitarian visas. The federal government also consider tightening the loans’ re-payments, with lowering income threshold a possibility.
