Thailand sees a sombre Song Kran festival in 2019

With the upcoming coronation of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, this year Thailand sees a more sombre Song Kran, or Thai new year festival, usually known for its fun-filled water-throwing activities. Certain tourist hotspots are withholding from their usual frivolity altogether.
