Ride-share operator Uber is facing a potential class action from Victorian taxi and hire-car operators over lost earnings.
The potential action would be based on allegations the company acted unlawfully when operating in Victoria up to mid-2017 when ride-sharing laws came into effect.
Law firm Maurice Blackburn says at least 6,000 taxi and hire car licence holders have been impacted by the entry of Uber in supposedly unlawful circumstances.
