Bangladeshi woman Momena Shoma, 24, has been charged with terrorism after an alleged Islamic State-inspired stabbing in Melbourne on February 10.
Reports said she intended to travel to Syria from Turkey, a well-worn path at the time for Islamic State recruits.
Momena Shoma, 24, who is facing terror-related charges, was also refused visa to travel from Bangladesh to Turkey in 2014, counter terrorism officials in Bangladesh say.
