Tanju Yenisey is migrated to Australia in 1983.
Before he obtained a B.A. Degree from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Boğaziçi (Bosphorus) University, Istanbul, Turkey in 1979 he was an active member of publications of school newspapers and magazines during his study at High School and University.
Tanju has also obtained a Diploma on Business Application Systems from Victoria University, Melbourne and worked at managerial levels of several companies in Turkey, Australia and overseas before joined SBS Radio Turkish Program in 1987 as a part-time broadcaster/journalist, then called Radio 3EA.
His radio documentary, called ‘Has Multiculturalism Failed?’ which was prepared together with Mr Oliver Heuthe, senior journalist/producer of the SBS German Program was awarded ‘The Best Radio Documentary of the year 2012’ by the Turkish Journalists’ Association – prominent ‘Sedat Simavi Awards’ and also awarded ‘The Best Media Work in Multiculturalism’ by the Premier of New South Wales, Australia in 2013.
Due to his involvement with and contribution to the Australian Turkish community as well as the general community, Tanju was awarded 'The Centenary of Federation Medal' by the Premier of Australia in 2003.
Tanju Yenisey was first appointed to the full-time Producer position in 1996 and then to the Executive Producer position of the SBS Radio Turkish Program in April 2011.
