Australia Alevi Communities remembers those who died in Sivas massacre

The Alevi community in Australia on Tuesday, July 2, marked the 26th anniversary of the murder of 33 Alevis, including poets and musicians, in an arson attack by a fundamentalist mob in the central Anatolian city of Sivas. 33 Alevis, two employees of the hotel that was torched and two members of the crowd died in the attack, known as the Sivas Massacre. We spoke to some members the local Alevi community during the sombre commemoration ceremony held at the Halac-I Mansur Cemevi in Melbourne.
