Several thousand mourners gathered in central Istanbul on Wednesday for the funeral of Berkin Elvan, a Turkish teenager who died after being in a coma since being hit in the head by a tear gas canister fired by police during the summers anti-government protests. His death on Tuesday triggered protests in Turkey. Berkin Elvan protest held in Melbourne as well.
