It has been revealed the Home Affairs Minister has personally intervened in tourist visa decisions just 14 times since taking on the immigration portfolio four years ago. Peter Dutton's use of ministerial powers was scrutinized by a Senate inquiry today [Wednesday], as it investigates his decision to grant visas to two foreign nannies against the advice of his department.
