Labor says, if it wins government on July 2 Australian Federal elections, it will begin introducing changes, including a 15 per-cent increase to the Child Care Benefit to improve child care accessibility. Coalition has indicated Labor's plan to scrap the Baby Bonus, as well as coalition budget decisions that have his party's support, could pay for the policy, also says the increased subsidies create no new demands on the budget.
