Cuppa Turca brings Turkey's chewy ice-cream to Melbourne

Turkish/Australian entrepreneur Harun Yalcın, is producing traditional Turkish Maras ice-cream and baked delicacy Künefe in Northcote. In an interview with SBS Radio Turkish program, he said he found the perfect texture for his ice-cream after six months of experimentation at home. Harun said salep, which is an ingredient, isn’t found outside Turkey, and that’s why it is so hard to produce an authentic taste and texture.
