Fired for doing his job, journalist tells SBS what it was all about

SBS Radio Turkish Program’s contributor from Turkey, Yavuz Oğhan, was the talk of the town in Turkey with his interview of former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. Davutoğlu told Oğhan that he had quit the post after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asked him to be the prime minister without using any of his powers and talked about his plans for a new political party. A few days after the interview, Oğhan was fired by the Voice of Russia, for which he had been working for the past four years. Oğhan told SBS Radio Turkish Program about what happened before and after the interview.
