Lindt coroner says police took too long to storm

After 23 weeks of public hearings into Sydney's Lindt Cafe siege, the New South Wales coroner has released his final assessment. The 600-page report finds police took too long to storm the cafe after gunman Man Haron Monis fired his first shot. It says police commanders had underestimated the threat Monis posed, in part because of flawed advice. But the report says, while police made mistakes, they should not share the responsibility for the deaths of two hostages.
