Morrison opens up controversy over Jerusalem

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has opened up a major diplomatic controversy, announcing he is considering recognising Jerusalem as Israel's capital. The Opposition has branded the historic policy shift an act of desperation in the lead-up to Saturday's ((Oct 20)) by-election in the Sydney seat of Wentworth, which has a high number of Jewish voters. Mr Morrison is denying his foreign policy is being driven by political imperatives.
