Sydney-based Turkish artist Mertim Gokalp moved to Australia in 2009 and has since participated in many group exhibitions, held several solo exhibitions and recieved awards. His contribution to the contemporary Australian art scene has been recognised by the Australian Government, which granted him a ‘distinguished talent’ visa, allowing him to live and work in Australia.
