Single independent voice within ruling party silenced

SBS Turkish talked to journalist Yavuz Oghan about the resignation of the single most independent voice in the ruling AK Party, the recognition of the Armenian genocide claims by the U.S. House of Representatives, the firing of an opposition member of the top TV, radio watchdog, as well as the firing of dozens of employees by the mainstream Hürriyet newspaper. He also talked about the new independent internet newspaper, pencere, which he has been publishing for the last few weeks.
