Thousands arrested in Turkey following failed coup bid

Thousands of Turkish government supporters continue to march on the country's streets after a failed military coup on Friday the 15th July. The death toll currently stands at 232 according to the Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, with 24 alleged to be plotters. Around 6,000 people, including soldiers and judges, have been detained in the resulting crackdown, as the President Tayyip Erdoğan says the death penalty for those responsible could be considered. We have talked to journalist Süleyman Gencel on the failed coup and what would happen after the coup attempt in Turkey.
