Turks in Melbourne celebrate the founding of the Republic of Turkey

The Turkish community of Melbourne attended a ceremony at the iconic Federation Square, marking the 96th anniversary of the founding of the republic. The ceremony was attended by hundreds of Turkish nationals of all ages and featured the singing of the national anthem of Turkey and a speech by Turkey's Melbourne Consul-General Arif Eser Torun.
