The World Health Organisation has declared the mosquito-borne Zika virus to be an international public health emergency. Thousands of babies in Brazil born with abnormally small heads have been linked to the virus. And now cases have been confirmed in Australia. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has called for a thorough investigation of reports the Zika virus has been sexually transmitted as well.
