SBS Turkish spoke to journalist Yavuz Oğhan about the recent political developments in Turkey. When asked why Turkey was so silent when it came to the mass jailing of hundreds of thousands of Uighurs by China, Oğhan said the Turkish government needed strong friends at a time of fraying ties with the U.S. and Russian and China fit that role perfectly.
